We are seeking a dynamic IT project management professional to work in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will report to the Supervisor of Portfolio Management and will be responsible for managing all tasks related to project management and project integration including initiating, planning, executing, and closing multiple small to medium sized projects within the Information Technology Services Division.

Responsibilities:
-Manage IT projects to scope, schedule and quality following the standard PM methodology within Manitoba Hydro policies and practices.
-Ensure that project management processes align with the related corporate processes including Supply Chain Management, Capital Planning, Finance, etc.
-Plan, organize and control the execution of activities and resources of the project delivery team.
-Monitor, evaluate, and report on project performance (budget, cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and issue).
-Manage selection and use of external consultants, including preparation/ analysis of requests for proposals, integration of work with other project teams and corporate staff, as well as the overall management of their defined tasks.
-Understand the impact and ensure effective communication with multiple stakeholders across the corporation.

Qualifications:
-A four year degree in Computer Science (Honours), Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a university of recognized standing, plus a minimum of five years directly related experience in information technology which includes a minimum of one year directly related experience in project management

OR

-A two year diploma in Computer Technology or related discipline from an institute of recognized standing with a minimum of seven years directly related experience in information technology which includes a minimum of one year directly related experience in project management.
-Completed a minimum of 15 hours of Project Management education that meets the PMI requirements for PMP certification.
-Comprehensive understanding of project management with demonstrated application of project management methodology.
-Working knowledge of Project Management tools, including Microsoft Project and a system development lifecycle methodology such as PMBOK or Macroscope.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff at all levels. Able to produce professional business reports and applicable documentation and deliver presentations to all levels.
-Demonstrated ability and experience with leading various types and sizes of Information Technology software projects.
-Strong teamwork skills with the desire and ability to direct project team staff and mentor junior staff.
