Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Creative Arts, the Instructor, Public Relations is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of curricula and evaluation of student performance in the Creative Communications Diploma Program. The Instructor assist with other activities such as College program promotion, student recruitment, student placement, industry liaison, and various administrative functions. Key job responsibilities include: Facilitate student learning; Assess student learning; Develop/modify curricula. The incumbent will follow administrative procedures, promote College/community relations, participate in professional development and perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Completion of post-secondary education in Communications or directly-related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be conisdered. - Several years of recent and related industry experience in public relations and digital marketing - Expertise in application of digital media tools for communications - Effective interpersonal communication skills - Strong written communication skills - Excellent oral communication skills - Demonstrated leadership skills - Experience in developing and delivering presentations - Ability to work as part of a team - Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Commitment to lifelong learning ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - Experience teaching adults in a post-secondary setting CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT - Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada - This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends | |
