The opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly collaborative and keen Business Analyst to work in our RTS & SCADA Engineering Central team. As a member of RTS & SCADA Engineering Central team, the successful candidate will support the business operations team -  responsible for project support and process improvement. This individual has proven skills, competencies and capacity to provide a continuous improvement mindset and support the team with their initiatives.

What you’ll do

• Participate in project governance and internal approval processes
• Facilitate document control management for projects team including SharePoint set up and on-going maintenance, and management of centralized project email account
• Prepare monthly scorecard and cost reporting in collaboration with Project Managers
• Facilitate project set up and close out activities in SAP
• Prepare monthly project forecasts in SAP and track actual costs compared to estimates to identify any increases or decreases to estimated completion
• Work with the business to develop and implement process improvements and ensure the quality of all required project deliverables
• Engaging in productive interaction and collaboration with other areas of TransCanada as well as with internal clients/providers
• Contribute to problem solving, continuous improvement and standardization efforts for business-related work processes
• Collaborate with project teams during all phases of a project to assure standards are met

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2+ years of related work experience
• Analytical mindset and a strong desire for problem solving
• Strong communication skills, with a customer service focus
• Diligent and quality focused
• Intermediate to advanced experience with various business software applications (Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Office Suite, Power BI, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP (PS Module) or similar
• Ability to be engaged for coaching, training, and mentoring
• Possess excellent organizational and planning skills and can manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
• Self-starter; takes initiative to deliver high quality results, and committed to continuous improvement
