The opportunity

The Damage Prevention and Pipeline Integrity Program Team within the Technical Centre is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business.

TC Energy's Damage Prevention team is accountable for the safe, reliable and compliant operation of TC Energy's natural gas and oil pipeline assets in North America. As a Damage Prevention Analyst, the successful applicant will be responsible for the evaluation, and governance of the Damage Prevention threat management program and related activities. This position provides the successful candidate with opportunity to directly impact the safe operation of the pipeline system and be involved in influencing company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipeline construction, damage prevention and pipeline operations as a program.

What you'll Do

  • Contribute to damage prevention governance reporting, which will include analysis and review of trends, programs, and quality assurance of data points based on your comprehensive knowledge
  • Provide input and support to the development of a Damage Prevention Governance KPI dashboard (e.g. data definition document and data aggregation), and contribute to the action and communication plan
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management across the Technical Centre and within each Business Unit
  • Ensure the applicable governing regulations are met in Canada, US and Mexico
  • Work with regional representative on various initiatives and investigations
  • Ensure documentation is completed
  • Interact with Internal stakeholders across all Business Units, as well as outside contractors
  • May be required to represent TC Energy on external industry committees

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of related experience is required
    • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered to offset the requirement noted above
  • Program management experience, preferably related to damage prevention and pipeline integrity
  • Complete analysis of the program and communicate recommendations for optimal function
  • Familiar with Damage Prevention Regulations in North America
  • Experience in incident investigations and related documentation
  • Results oriented with strong identification and initiation of continuous improvement opportunities and the ability to manage change
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with functional cross-functional and technical teams to build effective working relationships
  • Experience in working on team initiatives with strong execution, implementation and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate to Advance experience and proficiency with various business software applications (Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Office, Visio)
  • Proven systems thinking and strong analytical, process and problem resolution skills
