The Organization: Shared Health
Established as a legal entity in 2018, Shared Health was created as part of the Province of Manitoba’s broader Health System Transformation. The following year, Shared Health led the development of Manitoba’s first Provincial Clinical and Preventive Services Plan in collaboration with clinical experts from across the province. Shared Health continues to evolve as staff, departments, services, and facilities transition to the organization as part of the mandate to create a simpler, more efficient, and consistent health system for Manitobans.

The Opportunity: Provincial Lead Indigenous Health
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Provincial Lead Indigenous Health will support health services leaders in the delivery of Indigenous strategies defined in Manitoba’s Clinical Preventive Services Plan and the organizational strategic, and operational plans. Ensuring collaborative delivery of health services to Indigenous peoples from all of the public sector provincial health system service delivery organizations across the province, the Provincial Lead Indigenous Health leads and coordinates patient services, community engagement and partnerships, and workforce development strategies to improve health outcomes for Indigenous peoples

CredentialsAn active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate
Education RequirementsMasters degree in a clinical or health administrative discipline preferred
ExperienceTen years of progressive senior leadership experience engaging, collaborating and partnering with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities in the public sector, preferably in health services
