We are currently looking for a hardworking, hands-on and self-motivated professional who loves working remotely and autonomously. Join our dynamic team and operate out of our Grassland, Alberta location to work on a wide variety of equipment and processes, some of which are technically challenging and technically advanced with your proven mechanical aptitude. You will use your expertise to: - Show dedication and support to our Journey to Zero safety culture and programs
- Ensure safe monitoring and maintenance of pipeline facility sites between the Fort McMurray and Edmonton area to improve performance
- Participate actively in pipeline integrity projects such as completion of regularly scheduled weekly pipeline maintenance and facility inspections and monitoring
- Coordinate, supervise, and permit third party contracts
- Monitor pipeline right of ways to identify potential encroachments and respond to pipeline emergencies
- Supervise third party service contractors during pipeline excavations, repairs and construction projects as required
- Prepare equipment isolation on gas and liquid pipeline facilities as well as inspecting equipment for malfunction and perform minor repairs and adjustments to improve performance
- Prepare reports, work orders and notifications using the SAP processes in an accurate and timely manner
- Provide guidance and mentorship to lesser-experienced operating and maintenance team members
- Attend Oil Spill and Emergency Response Exercises
We’d like to review your application if you have… Must-haves (minimum requirements): - Five years’ experience within operating oil and gas facilities
- Valid oil field safety certifications
- In-depth knowledge of safely depressurizing, purging, pressurizing natural gas and liquid pipeline operating facilities as well as pipeline pigging and integrity processes
- Proven experience around operating rotating equipment with strong communication skills
- Experience with environmental, health and safety standards and use of all-terrain vehicle (ATV’s) / utility-terrain vehicle (UTV’s) for routine pipeline maintenance activities
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Preference for: - A post-secondary technical education
- Spill Responder Training
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A self-starter who is knowledgeable in pipeline operations procedures, policies and practices, and oil spill response
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information: - You will work out of our Grassland location 4806-54th Street T0A 1V0
- The weekly shift schedule is four 10-hour days and you will be required to provide on-call rotational support
- This position is safety sensitive
- Travel between remote locations next to nature utilizing ATV’s / UTV’s as needed
- You thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities, challenging demands, and strict deadlines
- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
