In collaboration with team members, the incumbent develops and maintains communications materials for a variety of channels, including for internal and external websites, social media and event, in-office and digital signage. This position also leads on posting to social media, as well as supporting media and social media monitoring efforts, tracking of communications metrics and posting to external websites. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the team and internal clients and advice on the most effective means of dissemination of information to a variety of audiences through various channels.Job Grade: D| A day in the lifeYour responsibilities as the Communications specialist will include but are not limited to:Content Development and Communications Support · Generate engaging content for internal and external channels, including websites, social media, and digital signage. · Develop communication materials aligned with Payments Canada's objectives and content strategy. · Assist internal clients with communication plans, reports, and internal campaigns, while supporting brand and rebranding efforts.Digital and Social Media Management · Maintain internal website integrity, perform audits and ensure adherence to style and accessibility guidelines. · Create social media content, conduct research to support engagement and track performance across channels. · Support digital communication planning, social media monitoring and analytics reporting.Event and Campaign Execution · Assist in planning and executing online, in-person and hybrid events. · Support the delivery of integrated marketing and communication campaigns and other departmental initiatives. · Contribute to the development of internal communication plans and organization-wide events.Stakeholder Collaboration and Team Representation · Liaise regularly with internal teams across Payments Canada to coordinate internal communication needs. · Represent the Marketing and Communications team as required and support internal clients on dissemination strategies and brand usage. · Contribute to media monitoring and development of the daily industry news newsletter.| What you need to be successful · University degree or college diploma in communications, journalism, public relations or related field. · Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience. · Experience in developing written materials in a range of formats for various audiences. · Eligibility to successfully complete background checks that will be carried out by Payments Canada, including criminal, credit, identity, employment, and education check.| You will really stand out with · Familiar with social media use in a business environment is considered an asset. · Experience with MailChimp is considered an asset. · Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset. · Experience in translation and/or revision is considered an asset. · Knowledge of the financial sector/payments system, experience in providing information services, and event management are considered assets.| Salary range · Based on qualifications and experience: $65,026 to $81,283.Please submit your application by May 20, 2025.| What's in it for you? · Flexible, hybrid (remote/office) environment. · Competitive compensation package, including annual variable bonus and defined contribution pension plan with employer matching percentage (if eligible). · Comprehensive health and dental benefit coverage, including mental health coverage, life insurance and a health spending account for you and your dependents (Permanent and temporary employees with contracts 12 months and over). · Paid time off: minimum four weeks paid vacation, sick and personal days, December holiday shutdown and cultural holiday observance days. · 26 weeks of paid maternity and parental leave top-up. · Rewards and recognition program. · Access to office gym facilities. · Internal and external professional development opportunities. · Fun team and organizational events. · Monthly all staff forums led by our Executive Leadership Team.| Our diversity, inclusion and equity commitmentAt Payments Canada, we are committed to making everyone feel they can be themselves and thrive at work.
