There is currently one permanent full-time position available located in Colwood. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies in Sooke, Colwood, Victoria, Saanich, and Esquimalt.

Licensed Psychologist, Child and Youth Mental Health
$80,638.63 - $101,367.89 annually

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large, dynamic, multidisciplinary team of Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) professionals serving the Victoria area. Our centre provides specialized mental health assessment and treatment services when children or youth are suffering from serious emotional, psychological, behavioural and/or psychiatric illnesses.

The Licensed Psychologist, CYMH will provide a broad range of services including psychological assessment, treatment, case management, and consultation for the early childhood population involving a wide range of difficult and complex presentations. The position will also develop collaborative partnerships on behalf of clients with professionals in other community services such as child protection, schools, local agencies, and services to children with special needs. The position may also be responsible for increasing community capacity through providing educational events, developing prevention projects, or providing consultation in a specific area.

Qualifications for this role include:
- Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.
- Registered (or in the process of being registered) with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist.
- Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders.
- Experience in clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
- Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver's license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification.
