| Position: Millwright - Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Job Type: Permanent Employment and Full Time Vacancies: 4 Shifts: Overnight, 10 hours shifts Location: 34494 McClary Ave. Abbotsford, BC V2S 7N3 As a Millwright you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate. | Essential Skills | - Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures - Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions - Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery - Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools - Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts - Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery - Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls - Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery - Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools and welding equipment - Perform Routine maintenance work on machinery - Other duties as assigned |
