Date of Posting: October 19 – November 2, 2021 Department Contact: Dr. Stephanie Springgay, Director Rose Mannarino, Administrative Coordinator - mannari@mcmaster.ca Course Name(s)/Number(s): ART 2DG3 – Contemporary Approaches to Drawing Term: Winter Number of Section(s) Available: 1 Number of Units per Section: 3 Location: TSH B103 Projected Enrollment: 22 Projected TA Support: NA Wage Rate: $7630.55 Schedule: Monday(s) from 8:30 am to 12:20 pm Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties This course provides insight into the varied functions of drawing including expressive purpose, communication, information, organization, idea synthesis and drawing as a form of thinking. A variety of media including graphite, charcoal, conte, wet media, collage, digital media, mixed media and hybrid approaches are included. Required Qualifications Professional and educational background in the field; experience in classroom teaching desired as well as experience with online course development and teaching. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who hold a minimum of a Master’s degree.
