Date of Posting: October 19 – November 2, 2021 Department Contact: Dr. Stephanie Springgay, Director Rose Mannarino, Administrative Coordinator - mannari@mcmaster.ca Course Name(s)/Number(s): ART 1UI3 C02 – Making Art and Understanding Images Term: Winter Number of Section(s) Available: 1 Number of Units per Section: 3 Location: TSH 118 Projected Enrollment: 100 Projected TA Support: 266 hours Wage Rate: $7630.55 Schedule: C02 Wednesday(s) from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties Utilizing sketchbooks, collage, colour exercises and creative research, students will gain widely applicable skills in manipulating and analyzing the communicative power of images. Students are not required to have previous artistic experience. Required Qualifications Professional and educational background in the field; experience in classroom teaching desired as well as experience with online course development and teaching. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who hold a minimum of a Master’s degree.
