Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Officer with a high degree of initiative for a permanent position in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will provide project management expertise relating to thedelivery of the Power Smart Load Displacement Program. Load displacement generation involves the generation of heat and power at customer sites.

Responsibilities:

 - Development of project management key deliverables and processes.

 - Responsible for reporting the status and progress of individual Load Displacement project schedules, resources, and costs.

 - Responsible for ensuring the technical scope of work is defined and prepared. Monitor any changes to the scope of work; notify and obtain authorization from project owners to any changes.

 - Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and maintaining all scheduling.

 - Prepare variance explanations and project reports.

 - Provide training and development to workgroup members on project management tools and techniques.

 - Develop and maintain ongoing working relationships with project participants necessary to meet project deliverables.

 - Develop and maintain a working understanding on the application, design, installation, operation, maintenance of various types of load displacement generation systems, as well as, renewable and clean energy systems and related equipment.

 

Qualifications:

 - A two year diploma in Technology from an institute of recognized standing plus completion of three accredited courses in project management, courses in leadership, and a minimum of six years related experience OR Certificate plus completion of four accredited courses in project management, courses in leadership and a minimum of seven years related experience.

 - Demonstrated understanding of the working relationships between interdisciplinary project participants, project stakeholders and project owners.

 - Knowledge and experience with Load Displacement Generation Systems and renewable and clean energy technologies.

 - Working knowledge of SAP.

 - In depth knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to use, project management tools including Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and Primavera systems.

 - Demonstrated ability at chairing meetings, achieving consensus and obtaining commitment from various participants.

 - Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

 - Must possess a valid Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
