| Ministry of Forests Mackenzie This is a temporary opportunity until July 14, 2023, but may be extended or become permanent. Advisor, First Nations Relations The Mackenzie team provides expert advice and decision support to multiple business areas in the district. The Advisor, First Nations Relations conducts consultations for natural resource use on Crown land and determines the impact on First Nations identified or potential traditional use areas. This position communicates with First Nations on natural resource applications and liaises with ministry staff as an expert on legal and procedural requirements of First Nations consultation. Qualifications for this role include: - Degree related to the natural resource sector (e.g., forestry, resource management, geography, environmental science) and related work experience, OR - Diploma related to the natural resource sector (e.g., forestry, resource management, geography, environmental science) and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. OR - An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Related experience includes: - Work experience conducting research and analysis related to land use, natural resource management, or natural resource authorizations/development issues. | |
