Course Name(s)/Number(s): GENDRST 1AA3 (Women Transforming the World) Term: Fall 2021 (September 7 to December 8, 2021 - final exam period is December 9 to December 22, 2021)
Number of Section(s) Available: 1 section Number of Units per Section: 3 units
Location (on/off campus): Virtual Classroom Projected Enrollment: 168 Projected TA Support: 5 TAs @ 130+3 hours each
Wage Rate *: $7630.55 (to be confirmed as per schedule "A" of the upcoming CUPE Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement) Start Time and Duration : 2 hours lecture/week (Monday 9:30am-10:20am & Tuesday 10:30am-11:20am) + 1 hour tutorial/week (to be led by TAs)
An interdisciplinary introduction to Women's and Gender Studies that explores women's historic and current collective efforts to transform social, economic and political conditions both nationally and globally. Required Qualifications Applicants should have completed or be near completion of a PhD in Women and Gender Studies or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience and management of TAs is preferred. Experience teaching online/in a virtual environment is preferred. *Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
