The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for two full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist to work alongside a busy established Obstetrician/Gynecologists in providing care for low- risk pregnancies, gynecological care and surgery in our newly updated surgical department. The Obstetrician/Gynecologists also provide consultant support for a large group of family physicians and midwives who provide primary care to the community.

The successful candidate will join the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLHM), which has recently completed an 18 month infrastructure project, including updating the operating rooms, and continues to reintroduce obstetrical and surgical services as well as expanded day surgery procedures post renovation and redirection of services related to COVID-19. WLMH is in the process of redevelopment, with the new facility slated to open in 2025. The new hospital will have a robust maternal and newborn program. Additionally, the new hospital will double the current operative capacity and include a transition to a Labour/Birth/Recovery/Post-partum (LBRP) model of care. Joining our team presents an exciting opportunity to participate in the planning and design of a brand new hospital.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must have a FRCSC in OB GYN, a commitment to teaching medical trainees and be eligible for a license to practice in Ontario. Applicants must also satisfy the credentialing requirements of Hamilton Health Sciences.
