About University Business Services
University Business Services (UBS) is a division of the Office of the Vice President Operations and Administration and provides a number of different services to students, staff, faculty and guests of the University. Their mission is to provide and promote revenue generating services which support the academic mission of the University in a way that remains flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the University. UBS comprises of several business units including Campus Store, Duplicating and Printing Services, Parking Services, OneCard Office, Ryerson Food Services, Events and Space Reservation Services and Ryerson Urban Farm.

The Opportunity

The Dishwasher (warewasher) provides an adequate supply of cleaned and sanitized wares and tools for production and service staff. Assists in the maintenance of a clean working environment. There are nine dishwasher positions available.

Qualifications  
To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

• Completion of Secondary School graduation diploma.
• 6 months experience with washing and cleaning dishes and wares using industrial or commercial dish washing machines would be an asset.
• Toronto Public Health Food Handlers or Recognized Serve Safe Certification is an asset.
• Experience maintaining the dishwashing machine in a clean working order by following the recommendations of the chemical supplier and manufacturer.
• Ability to maintain and keep the dish room in a clean and organized manner 
• Ability to maintain cleanliness of all production and service floor surfaces using detergent and/or disinfectants according to cleaning schedule
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills. 
• Demonstrates a commitment to supporting Ryerson's principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, an ability to work with diverse populations
