Description

As a Site Manager you'd be responsible for the oversight and safe execution of field projects. Your background in turnaround activities helps you adapt to multiple projects with multiple service lines including Mechanical Chemical Cleaning and Pressure and Vacuum.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring and managing the performance of personnel on site
  • Act as a leader for superintendents - this means you technically know the work and are able to influence those around you
  • Ensure adherence to all company HSE standards, policies and procedures and up to date knowledge of local, provincial and federal guidelines for full compliance.
  • Keep everyone in the know - meet the client and internal reporting requirements
  • Change management - you excel at this part of project management
  • Keep things moving for the client and for CEDA - be responsible for the identification and development of change orders
  • Coordinate and manage work activities of multiple sub-contractors, monitor, measure, check and correct
  • Collaborate with operations and the customer to help turn problems in to solutions
  • Exercise your technical side - support engineering and design to ensure all technical specifications and requirements are met
  • Works with the project planner /production engineer to develop production schedules and then executing construction operations to meet schedules and project plans
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

  • 5+ years experience leading turnaround/shutdown events
  • 3-5 years experience with P&L responsibility
  • You speak in 'earned value' and can easily generate P6 schedules
  • PMP designation helpful but is not required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a trades background is ideal
  • Experience using P6 is an asset but not required

  • You're structured and self-reliant in all projects - you like when the boss gives you freedom because you can effectively communicate up
