Date of Posting: July 13 to July 24 2020 Department Contact: Dr. Stephanie Springgay, Director Rose Mannarino, Administrative Coordinator - mannari@mcmaster.ca Course Name(s)/Number(s): ART 1TI3 – Making Art and Understanding Technologies and Images Term: Fall Number of Section(s) Available: 1 Number of Units per Section: 3 Location: Online/Virtual delivery Projected Enrollment: 100 Projected TA Support: 2 TAs @ 130+3 hours each Wage Rate: $7555.00 Schedule: Virtual classroom – Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm
Creating art utilizing a range of media, including digital tools and creative research, students will gain an understanding of art, images and cultures of technologies. Required Qualifications: Professional and educational background in the field; experience in classroom teaching desired as well as experience with online course development and teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who hold a minimum of a Master’s degree. Previous teaching experience is preferred as well as experience with online course development and teaching. Please note that in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 infection, the University has made the decision to deliver all Fall Term courses in an on-line format. This change in format is a temporary measure that will allow the University to continue to deliver learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The expectation is that the existing class and material will be put online, instead of creating an entirely new online version of the course. *Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount.
