Date of Posting: July 13 to July 24, 2020 Department Contact: Dr. Stephanie Springgay, Director Rose Mannarino, Administrative Coordinator - mannari@mcmaster.ca Course Name(s)/Number(s): MUSIC 2A03 – Music of the World’s Cultures Term: Fall 2020 Number of Section(s) Available: 1 Number of Units per Section: 3 Location: Online/Virtual Delivery Projected Enrollment: 120 Projected TA Support: N/A Wage Rate: $7555.00 Schedule: Virtual classroom on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties: A survey of music traditions of non-European cultures, e.g., far Eastern, Indian, African Required Qualifications: Professional and educational background in the field; experience in classroom teaching desired as well as experience with online course development and teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree (PhD or DMA) or equivalent professional experience.
