ANIMAL HUSBANDRY ASSISTANT REPOST

Assist in and/or carry out prescribed tasks relating to all aspects of animal husbandry including feeding regimes and general health and welfare monitoring of all animals. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures.

Accountabilities:

1. Provide animal care and husbandry for all species.
2. Observe the health condition and behavior of animals and report injuries, disease or abnormal behavior to designated person. 
3. Participate in health monitoring of all animals under the direction of senior technical and/or veterinary staff.
4. Monitor endpoints and report issues to senior technical and/or veterinary staff.
5. Document treatment logs.
6. Complete cage cards with appropriate animal information.
7. Assist in wash area as needed.
8. Attend and participate in department meetings.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma

Experience: Some animal experience preferred.
