Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leak sealing and repairs
  • Corrosion protection repairs
  • Line freezing
  • Hot tapping
  • Control bolting
  • Testing and pipe isolations
  • Cold cutting

Role Specifications

  • 2-3 years experience with a related trade, millwright work, or process operating
  • Familiarity of leak sealing is an asset
  • Class 5 license with clean drivers abstract
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable with small and pneumatic tools
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
  • Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  • Must be able to produce a negative result on pre-employment drug & alcohol tests
  • Comfortable with heights, and confined spaces such as small vessel/tank or trench
  • Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work over time, on call, and weekends
  • Flexible schedule and able to work day or night shifts, some travel is required
  • Entry level/Junior Technicians would require 4 to 5 years of training in order to achieve a high level of competency in the Leak Repair Field and a Senior Technician Status
