Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Civil Engineering Technology, instructors will deliver various courses in the Civil Engineering Technology family of programs. Duties will include: course preparation, delivery, and student evaluation, the development and maintenance of course outlines, lesson plans, assignments, tests and examinations, and student records. The successful candidate will also participate in department and college committees, assist in department and college activities, and develop/modify curriculum to reflect current industry needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Architecture or a diploma in Architectural Technology or Building Design Technology; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
- Significant work experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Significant work experience with one of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Detailing; Interior Detailing; or Building Science and Efficient Building Systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project
- Effective verbal communications skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Effective leadership skills

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of building science principles related to the enclosure, integration of building science with the whole-building system and building testing
- Experience with green building practices and documentation
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary environment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Instructors are required to complete a Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- This position may be required to work overtime
