About Bridges For Women Society
Bridges has been providing life-changing programs to women overcoming the effects of trauma and abuse since 1988. Bridges inspire women affected by trauma, violence, or abuse to reclaim their lives and build financial security through our healing, education, and employment programs. Our services are open to all women (transgender and cisgender), non-binary, and two-spirit people who identify as a part of the women's community and who have been impacted by violence or trauma at any time in their lives.

About the Role
Bridges for Women Society is looking for a dynamic and skilled Indigenous Women's Bridging Program Manager to join our team. We are seeking someone passionate about supporting women to break the cycles of abuse and trauma, a grounded understanding of Indigenous feminism, and experience and understanding of issues and priorities for Indigenous women including members of the Metis nation, Inuit, and First Nations women. The successful candidate embodies professionalism, collaboration, strategic thinking, and people management skills.

What you will be doing
- Overall planning, promotion, implementation, evaluation, and consistency of the Indigenous Women's Bridging Program.
- Initiates and sets goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization.
- Manages program staff in the delivery of services, including leave and performance management, training and development planning, issues management, recruitment and selection, and day-to-day supervision.
- Conducts reviews with program staff; sets goals with each team member and meets with staff on a regular basis to review staff's alignment with their annual review.
- Provides coaching supports to encourage growth and engagement with staff; works within agency guidelines to develop individual employee plans.

What you will need
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Education, or a relevant combination of experience and education in a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Indigenous ways, cultural competency, and issues specific to Indigenous women.
- Community engagement and relationship management experience.
- Knowledge of violence, abuse, and poverty and how they affect women's economic status, employability, and ability to learn.
Salary$31 - $33 hr
CredentialsA vulnerable sector criminal record check is a requirement for this position.
