| Instructor, Financial Services Applied Commerce and Management Education Position Location: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB) Full-Time Position Available An eligibility list may be created for similar casual, part-time, full-time, and term positions Red River College is a leader in applied learning and innovation. Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Applied Commerce and Management Education, the Instructor will be responsible to teach business related courses, which may include Personal Finance, Business Finance, Financial Services Selling, CIFP, LLQP, Fundamentals of Insurance, and Introduction to Canadian Business delivered at both the Notre Dame Campus and The Exchange District Campus. Duties will include the preparation of course materials and examinations, instruction of students and evaluation of course materials. Duties related to instructing include: curriculum development and maintenance, preparing course outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluation, assisting in college activities including student orientation, graduation, and relevant committees. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Post-secondary education in finance, business administration or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered - Significant and progressive experience in financial services industry in a client advisory role - Experience using Microsoft Office suite - Effective written communication skills - Strong oral communication skills - Effective intrapersonal and interpersonal skills - Effective leadership skills - Effective conflict resolution skills - Ability to instruct in a post-secondary environment - Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Commitment to lifelong learning ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - Graduate degree (MBA) - Professional Certification (LLQP, IFIC, PFP, CFP or similar) - Experience instructing at a post-secondary institution CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT - Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada - This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends - Instructors are required to complete a Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) - May be required to work at various RRC campuses | |
