$72,724.97 - $83,014.85 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment

The Digital Strategic Services Branch provides a range of information technology and information management services for the Ministry. The Branch works closely with the Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Corporate Information & Records Management Office to ensure that ministry plans, and initiatives are aligned with the government's overall technology and privacy protection direction and standards. Services provided include the IT Helpdesk, advice, and support on protecting and optimizing the ministry's information technology assets, and services and strategies relating to infrastructure and applications, workstations and devices, enterprise architecture, and business analysis.

As the Senior Privacy Analyst, you will be working closely with the Ministry Privacy Officer to ensure the Ministry’s privacy policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with Government’s Privacy Management Accountability Policy and applicable provincial legislation. You will work with ministry clients, Citizens’ Services, and other stakeholders by implementing privacy processes, practices and services and providing responsive client support for systems infrastructure needs.

Qualifications for this role include:

• A university degree in information management or information technology, or related field, PLUS considerable recent related experience which should include:
o Knowledge and experience working with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and their related policy and procedures.
o Experience developing enterprise privacy policy frameworks, and/or involved in day to day decision making in the context of privacy legislation/regulations (e.g. FOIPPA).
o Experience relating business requirements to privacy regulations.
o Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments.
o Experience identifying and evaluating privacy risks from a business and technological standpoint.
o Experience managing confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
