The successful candidate will be a results-oriented leader with industry knowledge and technology experience who will lead the modernization, and continued development of the Rogers Network Verification lab facility.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Manage a network lab environment including facilities, architectures, personnel, and budget
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders, functional peers, and senior leaders on cross-functional initiatives, and establish constructive working relationship to build influence and achieve alignments
  • Manage introduction of new technology into the verification lab facility and conduct lifecycle of legacy technology
  • Ability to perform End to End network service Impact Assessment
  • Provide integrated end-to-end verification lab facility network services to internal users according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Lead CAPEX/OPEX planning for the network lab by verifying lab requirements
  • Manages laboratory facilities, cabling, physical and logical network equipment
  • Develop laboratory related practices, solutions, and processes specific to the verification facility lab environment
  • Provide central maintenance of test equipment (Repair, license management, calibration, preventive maintenance)


Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading large-scale network labs, in the telecommunications industry with a focus on network technologies and related operational support systems  
  • Experience in a direct or matrixed roles leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a proven ability to work across broad functional teams  
  • Graduate or Undergraduate university degree in Computer Science, or Electrical/Computer/Electronics/Telecommunications engineering
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • - Developed analytical skills and highly developed problem-solving skills
  • - Can identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes
  • - Data-driven decision maker
  • - Results/outcome oriented
  • - Must be able to multitask effectively across other responsibilities
  • - Able to work in a changing environment and able to adapt with these changes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Wireless Technologies
  • Knowledge of IP Networks
  • Familiar with Telco Cloud, NFVi, Containerization, MEC, and Network slicing solution design and deployment 
  • Familiar with Wireline Technologies
