What you will do:

  • Lead project teams across multiple internal departments and external third parties towards a collective goal
  • Monitor, manage, and deliver positive outcomes for access network projects across the western region including business, quality, and financial objectives
  • Build and foster relationships with municipalities, utilities companies, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to secure long term success and business opportunities
  • Gain support and buy-in from existing acquisition, engineering, and implementation groups to identify and execute process improvement opportunities from concept to construction with the goal of scaling up acquisition and construction year over year
  • Use existing or develop new tools to help stakeholders complete tasks with predictability according to WLAs and KPIs. Create analysis and presentations as required
  • Assess potential project risks. Identify and apply solutions that enable the success of the overall team
  • Apply Industry experience, best practices, and designs where available to create cost models and cost estimations for inclusion into business cases and project feasibility studies
  • Build and drive a positive and collaborative culture aligned to governance processes
  • Lead and motivate team by mentoring, coaching, and supporting development plans
  • Understand and implement concepts of continuous improvement.

 

What you bring:

  • Undergraduate University Engineering degree preferred
  • PMP and Six Sigma certifications preferred
  • Five+ years of progressive and broad network implementation experience in a Wireless or Telecommunications environment.
  • Understanding of wireless and wireline network functionality, principles, standards and technology trends.
  • Ability to plan, execute, track and report on multiple simultaneous initiatives with varying priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills with various audiences.
  • Must have the ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Expert problem solving, troubleshooting decision making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
