Description
Are you a Respiratory Therapist who likes to work independently as well as participate within an interdisciplinary team? We have a great opportunity at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH) in Cranbrook, B.C.!

This is a general duty acute care position that covers all areas in the hospital, or attends external transports with the HART team. EKRH’s High Acuity Response Team (HART) Program provides interfacility transportation for patients requiring advanced life support or critical care management to or from tertiary hospitals. This service brings Respiratory Therapists and Critical Care Registered Nurses by land ambulance to the hospital when a situation requires an advanced level of care. EKRH's Respiratory Therapy team is an integral part to this health care service. Transports may mean moving a critical patient from a smaller hospital within the East Kootenay Health Service Area or to Calgary or part way to Kelowna. Team members operate independently, as there is rarely overlap amongst the therapists.

There is also opportunity to train in performing pulmonary function tests. This is a casual opportunity with the ability to pick up lots of shifts. Shift types are days, evenings and nights and shift times rotate from 06:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 17:00, 15:00 to 00:00, 00:00 to 06:00 hours. On call is required for this position.

If you are motivated to be challenged professionally, this is the move for you. We offer excellent benefits and opportunities to maximize your skills. Interior Health is an organization where Every Person Matters.
