Sr. Analyst, Benefits and Pension

We are currently seeking a Benefits and Pension Senior Analyst to join our internal benefits and pension delivery team.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the area of health and welfare benefits and a strong working knowledge of payroll, workforce management, absence and tax. They will also have the ability to interface with employees and to use critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for overall execution and monitoring of benefits events for the Health and Welfare plan administration on the Oracle HCM system
  • Participates in the definition and documentation of requirements
  • Work with on quality assurance activities regarding data, integrations, and event processing
  • Works to resolve escalated employee issues and communicate resolution
  • Works with third-party providers to ensure seamless process delivery.
  • Identifies and researches issues/defects and formulate resolutions/recommendations and follow/update SOPs and best practices.
  • Working with team who administers data processing, using SOP/guidelines, to ensure updates are accurately captured.
  • Responsible for peer review audits of manual work and providing necessary feedback.
  • Identifies potential service delivery issues and provides input towards process improvement.
  • Generates ad hoc reports by running and or writing queries and analyze for accuracy.
  • Assist with acceptance testing per release schedule / as changes are made
  • Adhere to internal and external audit requirements

What you bring:

  • Experience in the benefits outsourcing or consulting industry preferred
  • Broad range of Benefits and Wealth Accumulation administration experience
  • Experience with Oracle HCM or similar benefits administration/payroll technology platforms
  • Clear understanding of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension plans
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal team members effectively
  • Ability to resolve employee issues and provide resolution in a timely manner
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively with employees, business partners, and vendors
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable with change and able to manage tight timelines
  • Experience working in a case management system is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 4+ years of Benefits and Wealth Accumulation administration experience in a high-volume benefits/payroll operation
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources and/or related discipline 
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) certifications an asset
