As Gender Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) Team Lead you will work in a unique environment to advance GBA Plus objectives and contribute directly to our critical mission.

The GBA Plus Team Lead leads the integration of the considerations of diverse communities and employees, and their intersectionality, into operational and corporate programs across the organization. The GBA Plus Team Lead manages GBA Plus evaluations to illuminate areas where diversity and intersectionality must be addressed in everyday business activities, recommends changes to accomplish this objective, and supports people across CSIS to execute those changes.

As the person who leads this team, you will:

  • Manage a national GBA Plus policy centre and program, including the strategic review, evaluation, development and implementation of the GBA Plus framework and awareness strategies across the organization; 
  • Establish and communicate the organization's GBA Plus direction and lead the GBA PLUS team in conceiving and developing ways to integrate GBA+ into new and existing methods, policies, procedures, and services;   
  • Advance research pertinent to the organization's operational and corporate GBA Plus landscape, engage with stakeholders and partners across the broader federal public service, and ensure that GBA Plus activities are of central consideration in new and existing practices.

Education


· Undergraduate degree and seven (7) years of experience *

The educational program must be from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.

If you have completed a program outside of Canada, you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense through a recognized credential assessment service.

Note: Any higher level of education could be recognized as experience.


Experience


* Experience developing recommendations and providing advice to Senior Management with respect to complex1 matters.

* Experience leading the development of strategies to integrate GBA Plus or similar types of principles and frameworks into operational or corporate programs.

Candidate must also possess: 

  • Significant2 experience providing advice on GBA Plus.
  • Significant2 experience leading GBA Plus assessments.

Assets: 

  • Experience leading committees or networks with the objective of advancing organizational understanding and application of leading practices.
  • Experience supervising a team.
