Full-Time, Term Position Available
Anticipated November, 2019 up to June 30, 2020

Duties: Reporting to the Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE), the successful candidate will support Red River College's Construction Trades department in the development of blended and online courses and educational resources. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the CLPE team, faculty and subject-matter experts. The position will apply modern learning theory and instructional design principles to identify appropriate instructional strategies towards building engaging courses and learning content. Duties includes consultation and faculty development in instructional design, learning strategies, assessment and evaluation, and technology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-graduate education in the field of Education, Instructional Design, or a related subject. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Substantial experience in course development and design in an online or blended learning environment
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and its application
- Experience with the use of technology in online or blended learning
- Experience working effectively with diverse teams with minimal supervision
- Excellent self-direction and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
- Excellent written communication skills
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using D2L’s Brightspace Learning Management System
- Education and experience in project management
- Experience using content authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, iSpring etc.
- Good working knowledge of the Adobe Suite

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
