Applications are invited for an exceptional candidate in the area of Electrical & Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. The successful applicant will receive a three-year, Limited Term appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank and salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. This position will be effective August 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Department is seeking an energetic and dynamic candidate who will be able to contribute to the Department’s teaching activities by teaching six half credit (0.5) courses each academic year in the broad area of Computer and Electrical Engineering. (The most likely assignment is three courses in the fall term and three courses in the winter, but may vary with the needs of the department.) Course teaching assignments will span introductory as well as advanced areas of electrical and computer engineering such as Digital Logic Systems, Introduction of VLSI, Electronic Circuits, Computer Design, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, and Sensor Networks & Embedded Systems.

Applicants for this position must have a first degree (BASc. B.Eng or equivalent) in Engineering and have a PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline). The candidate should provide evidence of effective teaching at a university level in engineering and will be expected to participate in the normal administrative, educational and professional activities of the Department, Faculty and University. Eligibility for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is required for this appointment.
