| Wierenga Poultry Farms Ltd. requires 2 full time Custom Farm Machinery Operator/Poultry Farm Foremen for a combined poultry and custom farm work operation to perform the following duties: Job details: Location: NW-10-32-01-5, Olds, AB T4H 1T8 Vacancies: 2 Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time Employment conditions: On call, Overtime, Day, Evening, Weekend, Night, Flexible hours Job requirements: Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Large workload, Overtime required Work Location Information: Rural area Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours Additional Skills: Maintain work records and logs, Perform general farm duties, Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Area of Specialization: Poultry Equipment and Machinery Experience: Sprayer or duster, Tractor, Seed drill, Fertilizer applicator, Feeding and watering system, Harvesters Specific Skills: Monitoring animal health Type of Farm Operations: Chicken farming, Grain, oil and forage crop Agricultural Service Contractors Specific Skills: Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting, Negotiate with clients for provision of services, Provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses Farm Supervisors Specific Skills: Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs, Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, Maintain quality control and production records Specialized Livestock Workers Specific Skills: Handling animals, Feed inventory, Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, Formulate feeding program | |
