To help achieve our business plan, Bruce Power currently has an excellent opportunity to build your career as a Shift Control Technician Apprentice. More than one (1) required, multiple locations onsite, various shift patterns (i.e. days, afternoons, nights)

Key Responsibilities
• Shift Control Technician Apprentices, having the highest regard for safety, are responsible for maintaining systems needed to fuel and control nuclear reactors plus ancillary systems.
• On a shift or day basis, they are responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification and repair of the instrumentation, electronic and electrical equipment used to control systems in our facilities.
• Shift Control Technician Apprentices may be required to work from scaffolding, in confined spaces, and in environments containing radiological, chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards.
• This work may be performed on a twelve-hour, rotating shift schedule.

Candidates that do not provide proof of diploma completion will NOT be considered. * Candidates who are currently working to complete their diploma MUST ensure a copy of your current transcript is attached in place of a diploma.
Education Requirements• Successful completion of Grade 12 and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (GED) as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
• Successful completion of a Diploma Program from a College of Applied Arts and Technology in electrical, electronics, instrumentation/control or computer technology, or the equivalent as determined by OACETT.
• Ability to successfully complete Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities - Apprenticeship Branch training program and Bruce Power specific training in order to obtain all relevant qualifications.
