| Vacancies: Three (3) Terms of Employment: This is a full-time position Must be available to work Early Mornings, Days, Evenings and on the Weekends. Location: 5453 Snowbrush Street Oliver, BC V0H 1T9 Experience: Experience is an asset Education: No education required Work Setting: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling Outdoors, at height, wet/damp, odors, dusty, hot, cold Type of Crops Apple, Cherries, Peach, and grapes in fruits and Peppers, Egg Plant in vegetables As a Farm Worker, your main duties are, but not limited to: Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand Manual labor such as digging, planting, pruning Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, if required Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the proper selection and application method of pesticides and fertilizers Examine produce for quality and prepare for market Communicate with the farm supervisor, manager, and owner regarding crop progress and issues that may arise Set and monitor water lines Perform general farm duties as needed | |
