WEDGE Full Stack Developer

United Rentals is looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join the WEDGE Remote Monitoring team. WEDGE is used to monitor, alert and control environmental conditions on industrial and residential construction sites.

The successful candidate will be a skilled and versatile developer interested in working across a range of technologies from embedded firmware for wireless sensors, to back-end processing in AWS Serverless, to front-end web development in React/Redux.

Additional duties include the following:

• Coordinate with the development and operations team to define requirements for new features

• Write technical requirements and design documentation

• Implement new features and perform developer and integration testing

• Review the existing architecture for sustainability as requirements evolve

• Identify, research, and resolve issues raised by customers

• Troubleshoot system failures and discrepancies

• Define and execute regression test plans

• Support internal and external users

• Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience

• Working knowledge of React/Redux (and/or Angular, Vue), HTML, and CSS

• Some experience in C is preferred

• Localization and Internationalization experience and proficiency in French or Spanish is preferred

• Analytically oriented with strong documentation skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills
