| Farmcrest Foods Incorporated in Salmon Arm, British Columbia is looking to hire twelve (12) full-time permanent General Farmworkers for our business located at 1880 30th Street SW, Salmon Arm, BC, Canada, V1E 3J9. Farmcrest Foods Incorporated is known for our values of 100% natural and non-GMO chicken, locally grown on our farm in Salmon Arm. We uphold our standards to raise chicken in a safe and comfortable environment in order to provide individuals and families the freshest, healthiest and best-tasting chicken in the marketplace. The role you will be filling as a General Farmworker will involve placing, caring, catching, cleaning out, sanitation and other responsibilities in handling our poultry in order to bring it to the marketplace. On a daily basis you will be responsible for the care of poultry, setting and transferring eggs, pulling chicks, working in the feed mill as well as other related tasks. You will be required to (job description): • Responsible for placing, caring, catching, hatching, cleaning out and sanitation of poultry. • Responsible for working in the on-farm feed mill including making feed, clean-up, distributing feed, harvesting crops for feed mill and other related duties. • Identify disease and any health issues of poultry. • Maintain and clean poultry barns and other farm areas including monitoring daily the air flow and water lines in chicken barns. • Operate and take care of farm machinery and equipment. Qualifications: • One-year experience of good animal husbandry skills. • On the job training provided. Skills and Knowledge: • Excellent motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination. • High standards regarding cleanliness, hygiene and quality. • Ability to work in a fast paced and detailed environment. • Strong capability to work with others. • Complete repetitive tasks with efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment. • Excellent attention to detail. • Critical thinking skills. | |
