Duties: The Instructor plans, coordinates and teaches the clinical component of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography General and Cardiac programs in accordance with the competency profile for Sonography Canada at various facilities within Manitoba. This position will have liaison responsibilities and will act as an integral member of the clinical committee to review and revise the clinical component of the program. Provides leadership and acts as an advocate for students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- General Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited training program; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Active registration with Sonography Canada.
- Extensive and current clinical experience as a sonographer
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Effective presentation skills with ability to present material to diverse groups with the use of appropriate technology
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor Degree in Education or Science
- Experience in adult education
- Current clinical experience in Cardiac Sonography

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- This position may be required to travel
