Planning Forester
$69,969.42 - $89,774.32 annually, plus $44.49 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Hazelton

As a Planning Forester, you'll play a key role in analyzing and producing data to support the development of comprehensive resource and operational plans, particularly the Forest Stewardship Plan. You'll ensure planning strategies align with legislative, consultation and certification requirements while collaborating with field professionals in timber development, harvesting, engineering and silviculture. Building strong relationships with Indigenous Peoples, resource partners and Ministry contacts will be a rewarding and essential part of your role.

Qualifications for this role include:
- A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or be eligible for registration as an RPF with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) and two (2) years of experience in operational field forestry activities.
- Operational field forestry activities include the following:
- Timber harvesting monitoring/conformance
- Cut-block development
- Forest road engineering
- Silviculture
- Timber tenure development and administration
- Planning integrated resource management
- Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.
