Description
Fraser Health is committed to working with First Nations, Metis and Inuit across the Fraser Salish region to plan and deliver culturally safe health services. We are thankful to the Honourable Dr. Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond (Aki-Kwe) and the almost 9,000 Indigenous Peoples and health care staff and medical staff whose courage to share their stories and experiences helped shape the "In Plain Sight" report and the call to action needed for change. We are committed to working with the Ministry of Health to eliminate systemic racism in the health care sector in our province.

We are currently seeking a Client Partner for our new Indigenous Recruitment and Retention portfolio. In this key role, you will build community networks and strategies to increase Indigenous voices, and partnership within all levels of the organization.

You will have an opportunity to contribute to the proactive culture of talent acquisition by leading recruitment initiatives and developing talent pathways to support Indigenous recruitment and retention within Fraser Health.

Here are some of the areas of responsibility:
Work in partnership across the organization to identify and promote; opportunities, development, and resources to support Indigenous employees' career goals.

Provide guidance to hiring managers and professional recruitment by acting as an advocate and encourage applications of internal and external Indigenous candidates.

Develop retention and recruitment strategies to support current and forecasted recruitment needs of FH.

Develop relationships with community groups, educational institutions, and professional associations to promote and encourage health care roles to Indigenous students.

Provide guidance and support to Indigenous employees and applicants throughout the recruitment process.

Coordinate with external departments and connect new self-identified Indigenous employees with the Talent Acquisition team for on-boarding support.

We are looking for you to have:
Confidence in being a self-starter for this new portfolio, and comfortable navigating through ambiguity as we build this new function at Fraser Health.
Energy and curiosity to ensure that we are always doing the right thing and challenging the status quo.
Creativity in bringing new insights to the forefront as it relates to practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion for our Indigenous communities.
An authentic partnership approach that allows you to build trust and proven relationships both internally and externally
We also want to highlight that First Nations, Inuit, Metis or Aboriginal ancestry is regarded as directly relevant to the skills and knowledge for excellence in the position.
Apply today, so we can continue the conversation and make a difference!

We value diversity in the workforce and seek to maintain an environment of respect, caring and trust.

Effective October 26th, all new hires to Fraser Health will need to have full COVID 19 vaccination (have received a full series of a World Health Organization "WHO" approved vaccine against infection by SARS-COV-2, or a combination of approved WHO vaccines). Please note this applies to all postings, and individual medical exemptions must be approved by the Provincial Health Officer.
