The Executive Director provides overall leadership to Vantage Point’s team, including employees, contractors, knowledge philanthropists and governance volunteers. The position shapes the organization and influences the future of the not-for-profit sector in BC, by staying abreast of emerging trends and convening influential leaders who can move change forward. The Executive Director is responsible for nurturing the organizational culture, strategic goals, and the operational capacity of the organization to deliver on its mission.
This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative, community-driven leader who is dedicated to not-for-profit leadership, development, and governance. The successful candidate will have relevant education, training and/or professional development with a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience. The successful candidate will have knowledge of strategic and operational planning in combination with fund development and community engagement experience. The role requires excellent interpersonal communication and team building skills, with a strong commitment to building a positive and effective organizational culture. An equivalent combination of experience, education and skills will also be considered.
