Ministry of Attorney General Vancouver This is an one year temporary opportunity starting from when the position is filled. Business Continuity Advisor $57,480.47 - $65,417.88 annually The Provincial Court of BC sits at over 80 locations throughout the Province and hears criminal, family, youth, and civil claims as well as traffic and municipal by-law matters. The Chief Judge of the Provincial Court is appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council and is responsible for assigning Judges and Judicial Justices, designating court facilities for the hearing of cases within the jurisdiction of the court, and for providing administrative direction to Judges, Judicial Justices, and Judiciary staff. The Office of the Chief Judge (OCJ) is the administrative headquarters for the Provincial Judiciary, and is based in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED) of Organizational Services, the Business Continuity Advisor will develop, implement, test and promote a Provincial Court Judiciary business continuity plan to ensure business priority and mission critical services and processes continue to function or are returned to service as quickly as possible in the event of a business interruption. The Advisor will also have a role in Continuity of Government Planning with the other branches of government. Qualifications for this role include: • Business Continuity Planning certification. • Some recent Business Continuity Planning experience (i.e. within the last 5 years) • Experience with facilitating groups to consensus • Experience delivering training • Experience and involvement in emergency management planning and/or exercises • Experience in Project Management. • Experience in the preparation of business case analyses. • Work requires on-call and extended hours during incidents and exercises. | |
