| Syncrude Canada Ltd's Strategic Planning Department is seeking an experienced candidate to join their team. The successful candidate will work in the Process Development Team which is charged with managing scoping and development of Syncrude’s strategic initiatives to ensure key projects which impact Syncrude's future operation are progressed appropriately. Current initiatives that successful candidate could be supporting are: • Maximizing Capacity Utilization (Upgrading capacity benchmarking and debottleneck) • Extraction/Froth Treatment upgrade/debottleneck. • Off gas processing and monetization • Green House Gas strategy support and operationalization • Site support activities Accountabilities: Will be required to use Syncrude’s internal systems and resources to find and gather data. Responsible for leading development of conceptual ideas towards concrete, actionable recommendations. Will be expected to write reports and recommendations, and at times present to Syncrude Executive as well as Joint Venture Syncrude Participants. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a highly matrixed organization with resources spread across varying parts of Alberta, and wider region.
