As a Millwright / Machinist at Imperial’s Sarnia Refinery, you will be responsible for but are not limited to the following job requirements: Responsible for the repair, maintenance and the machining of rotating equipment and its associated components. Executing all activities in a safe, efficient, timely and reliable manner adhering to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines. Optimizing your related trade flexibility skills/knowledge in a safe /practical manner. Responsible for the safe/correct utilization of all tools, equipment and material associated with the activities of the position. Adhering to repair standards, specifications and procedures. Measuring with a high degree of accuracy as required for equipment evaluation and repair. Executing the removal and installation of rotating equipment working effectively with other trade group as required. Performing predictive/preventative maintenance on rotating equipment to meet the business unit needs. Preventative maintenance duties will include lubrication, visual equipment inspection, over speed trip testing of turbines, etc. | |

Education Requirements | High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Successful completion of the Generalist Machinist Program. |
Experience | A General Machinist/Industrial Mechanic Millwright Red Seal Ticket Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial repair and/or Millwright trade Oil and gas experience would be considered an asset Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to build good, respectful working relationship in a team environment Effectively manage time and priorities. |
