ROLE STATEMENT:

The Operator in Training (OIT) will be a member of the Field Operations Department and will receive Class 1 driver’s license training along with position specific training to become a qualified Operator. Reporting to the Divisional Driver Mentor, the Operator in Training will gain exposure to District and Field operations and will be trained to operate Calfrac equipment while adhering to Calfrac’s operational, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complete all requirements and driver training for obtaining a Class 1 License
• Assist Maintenance in the Shop as required
• Complete all training requirements of the Operator in Training (OIT) Program
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment Policies & Procedures
• Work outside in all weather conditions with a diverse team

PROGRAM:
• Six (6) week Operator in Training (OIT) Program with Class 1 Driver Training and position specific mentoring
• Upon program completion you will be promoted to an Operator status.

SCHEDULE:
• Duration of OIT Program: Monday to Friday Schedule
• Upon Completion: Fifteen (15) days on, six (6) days off

COMPENSATION:
• Guaranteed Base Compensation
• Paid Training and Program Completion Bonus

EXTENSIVE TRAINING:
• Fourteen (14) days of paid Orientation and Training School with hands on Pressure Pumping exposure
• Information is provided about Calfrac’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures
• Obtain all required Oilfield Tickets
• Hands on training simulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Alberta Class 3 or 5 Drivers License – No GDL
• Satisfactory Drivers Abstract required
• Experience operating a manual transmission preferred
• Previous industry related experience preferred
