PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As the Senior Financial Internal Auditor you will support the department in ensuring that the internal audit function adds value to the business by assessing and providing reasonable assurance that risk management and internal control systems are functioning as intended. By completing both ongoing and project based audit work, you report on risk management issues, internal controls, material audit findings and activities to Executive Management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors .The Senior Financial Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting independent, objective audits in accordance with Institute of Internal Auditors Standards, and ensuring effective communication of results and recommendations to Management. Managing multiple projects and priorities, you will work with the broader Internal Audit team in designing and executing procedures on operational, financial or integrated audits. This position is an excellent opportunity to learn about many aspects of the business.
You will work in a team environment, reviewing and reporting on the interim and annual financial statements and related disclosure documents as required by the Audit Committee. The role works on a portfolio of financial audit projects and governance activities performed at the request of the Board and management. Management Conductor Program: Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CP.
