PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

Responsible for development and maintenance of SAP Security Configurations and related processes including Audit compliance and SOD/SOX related review on SAP systems. Security resource allocation to SAP related projects and SAP security related production support troubleshooting.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Provides comprehensive, realistic estimates of development effort for requested configurations and developments;
  • Works with the Development Lead and Project Managers to plan development, report progress, manage sap security development risks and issues and facilitate technical oversight of the same;
  • Establishes good working relationships and processes with other IT teams and business departments to smooth design, development, and deployment; Ensures development deliverables adhere to agreed standards;
  • Prepares QA procedures, check lists and documentation templates (procedures and templates in line with the current SAP security development methodology of CP);
  • Provides input to the functional specifications for developments; Provides effort estimates for RICEFW implementation;
  • Reviews specs prepared by SAP Security Developers developers;
  • May performs unit testing and supports the team with debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP security;
  • Creation and auditing of Technical Documentation, Code Review, test process on standard and developed object in the area of concentration;
  • Manages requirements gathering and validation, update of development standards;
  • On Call support will be required for this position; Lead team of 7-10 team members;
  • Mentor team in CP process and new technologies;
  • Meeting facilitation and presentation preparation;
  • Regular Travel between Canada and US.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable job experience in Computer Science/Information Systems preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of SAP sustainment/projects
  • 5-7 years of experience on SAP Security Development and Management
  • Understanding of SAP Role, Authorizations, and product types is required
  • Ability to travel internationally (US and Canada)
  • Proven strong communication skills - both written and oral - with technical and non-technical staff and with management
  • Appreciation and understanding of how to deal with different cultural values and sensitivities and how to work in a virtual work environment;
  • In depth experience (2 years each) in 4 or more SAP functional areas
  • Experience in multiple SAP Deployment projects using SAP ASAP
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in SAP technologies
  • Multi-National operational experience
  • Team lead experience with greater than five resources in multiple disciplines (Business Analyst, SME, and Developers)
  • Blended staff management experience (direct and contract)
  • Ability to regularly travel between US and Canada
