Do you have strong reporting and analytical skills combined with ability to summarize data and extract a concise message?  In this role, you will be responsible for monthly financial support, stewardship and planning for the monthly financial support for the consolidated Upstream.

 

You will use your expertise to:

  • Prepare monthly stewardship reports
  • Support Upstream monthly forecasts
  • Support Upstream consolidated budget and Business Plan
  • Improve existing processes increasing organizational efficiency
  • Act as the liaison with other Finance & Planning groups in Upstream
  • Perform ad hoc and project support as required

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Five years of relevant analytical experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or other relevant education
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and lead competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and you can work cohesively in a dynamic team environment
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Completion or enrolment in a financial designation or equivalent (CPA, CFA, and/or MBA)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI SAP, and SAP-BW
  • Proactive and ability to influence, persuade and facilitate change
  • Accomplished competency to lead challenging priorities, demonstrating superior organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Open-concept work environment
