In this position, you will support processes related to equipment maintenance at our national retail and wholesale locations, manage initiatives and programs, build reports and provide analyses on asset reliability. The work is largely project and task-based, with some routine work including call handling as a backup to our escalation desk.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Review and implement action plans, dispatch appropriate service providers, and monitor the work for timely resolution in a variety of provincial and national projects
  • Lead safety initiatives at our sites through the tracking of last minute risk assessments with our technicians and service providers, as well as scheduling third party safety audits to ensure our service providers are aligned with safety requirements
  • Participate in multiple processes and projects such as: ensuring site compliance with the legislations and regulations, asset upgrade programs, and monthly Retailer communication
  • Generate and analyze reporting for all categories’ reactive and preventative service calls, reporting on fuel and car wash reliability initiatives, and follow ups
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders, including: construction and maintenance coordinators, legislative and environmental agencies, field sales force, market managers, auditors, and vendors

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Current enrolment in a full-time mechanical engineering degree at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term

Preference for:

  • Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to do V-Lookups and Macros
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to internal and external audiences
  • A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset who is results oriented and motivated by accuracy

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Oakville office, located at 3275 Rebecca Street
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • This is a 4 or 8-month work term, from starting in September 2019
