You will be a key member of a team responsible for all activities needed to ensure the safe and reliable functioning of our Montréal sulphur plant. You will use your expertise to: - Identify the plant's deviations, communicate them verbally or in writing, and take the appropriate corrective measures
- Participate in the mechanical integrity program by conducting inspection rounds
- Ensure the recording of all production and inventory data
- Address the loading and unloading operations for raw materials and finished products
- Conduct sampling and perform all required laboratory analysis, interpret the results and take the appropriate corrective actions in case of deviation from the specifications
- Enforce the work permit system for work to be done at our sulphur plant, and be sure to identify and analyze all risks prior to permit issuing
- Prepare, secure and lock out equipment according to current procedures
- Ensure effective communication, both verbally and in writing, during shift changes
- Respond to emergencies according to your assigned role and responsibilities by enforcing procedures
- Participate in the continuous improvement process by enforcing and reviewing existing procedures and suggest changes if necessary
- Identify and prepare your personal development plan with your supervisor in order to be able to lead a work team when working as a boardman
We’d like to review your application if you have… Must-haves (minimum requirements): - 10 years of relevant experience in chemical processes or DEC or AEC (diploma or attestation of college studies) in chemical process techniques
- A Class 4 stationary machinery mechanic’s licence with a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
- Fluency in French, with functional written and spoken English
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting and social skills with the ability to readily collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results
- Strong prioritization skills and the drive to be a self-starter and take action as required

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information: - You will work at our Montréal sulphur plant, located at 11450 Cherrier Street East
- You will work 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating between days and nights
- This is an entry-level position within the progression of the sulphur plant's operations group. The work schedule will be full-time, but hours may vary when providing coverage for other teams and according to business needs
- Physical capacity to work at height, in enclosed spaces and with air supply
- Availability to work overtime when required
